I haven't been to the Katella deli in nearly 25 years. I took my 90 year-old father for a early dinner yesterday and oh my gosh. It's brilliant. We both had the beef stroganoff and may I say that it's probably the best beef stroganoff that I've had in years. Perhaps my entire life. Slowly, braised short ribs with mushrooms and pappardelle. I can't wait to go back.

Me and My Wife Stopped by About a Week Ago and I Was Simply Delighted for What We Experienced. I Haven't Been Here Since Before the Re-Model And What a Beautiful Establishment They Have Created! From the Wild Assortment of Baked Goods to The Freshly Ground Coffee's, a Beautiful Full Bar and a Menu from Heaven. We We're Seated With Just a Short Wait by a Friendly Hostess an was Attended to Quickly by Our Server. My Wife had a Asain Chicken Salad And I Had "The Special" a Pastrami Sandwich on Rye with Cole Slaw and a Russian Dressing That Absolutely Blew Me Away! Afterwards We Made Our Way To The Bakery to Score Some of the Most Tasty Cookies Around, Mostly for The Grandkids But Still Managed a Dozen for Me and My Wife! Over All We Tottaly Enjoyed Our Visit and Cannot Wait to Come Back!

I came for the matzo ball soup and beef stroganoff and both tasted delicious as usual! The smaller soup has one giant matzo ball that I split into two servings. The beef in the stroganoff was particularly tender and the dish was not too salty, and sauce not too thick. Just perfect. I also grabbed a slice of carrot cake which was wow, just amazing, and heavy! If it's your first time here and coming for the take out bakery, grab a ticket number from the standing dispenser which you have to walk to the end to see (may not be easily visible if crowded which it usually is). Can't wait to try the chocolate and red velvet cakes next time. It took much restraint to refrain from buying more delicious looking treats. Excellent customer service. Docked a star because for a nice establishment, they are still using a lot of plastic for take out.

They were very busy for a weekday lunch. They have a big parking lot but still gets very packed. The restaurant itself is very spacious and bright. We were pleasantly surprised that they were able to accommodate a party of 8 without any reservations. Our server was very attentive. The menu is extensive. We ordered fried zucchini and latkes to share. I ordered the bbq chicken pizza, which was very tasty. I loved how perfectly crunchy the crust was. You need to try the items from their bakery too! I got a banana bread before heading out and it was delicious!

This spot is top notch. Seems like everything on their menu is high quality, fresh, and delicious. This place is popular and crowded for a reason. The soup broth had delicious deep flavor, and the matzoh ball was fluffy. The meat in the sandwiches had deep flavor goodness. The restaurant interior is gorgeous and very comfortable. Love their bakery with all the choices of goodies.

What a cute restaurant this is. First know that we dined here for Mother's Day and there were no reservations needed. With that said though time wait was 2 hours. A little long but I guess that's how it is when food is good. Yes food was so good!! Everyone in our table was very happy! I had the pastrami and it was probably the best sandwich I've had. My husband had breakfast. Let's just say that we will be dining here more often!!! Con- pricey but that's it

Beautiful place to come and eat. We had a group of 10, and they sat us in the cutest seating area all to ourselves. Heres what we ordered- Denver Omelet/hashbrowns- great California Club/ fries - great Avocado Omellet Obrien potatoes - great taste a lot of avocado generous portion, but potatoes were under done. Steak and eggs/hashbrown - good, but steak was over but had great flavor. Eggs Benedict/Obrien potatoes - Good flavor, a touch salty, and my potatoes were also under done. Rueben Sandwich/ fries - great sandwich Kids silver dollar pancakes - huge serving like 10 pancakes. No complaints. French Dip Sandwich/fries - bread was great. Sandwich was so good. We also ended up purchasing a whole berries and cream cake and an assortment of cookies. Everything was good and so was the service. We will be back. Definitely recommend.

Wow, what a beautiful remodel! The inside is amazing and the outside patio is spectacular!! (love to eat outside) Didn't realize my Yelp is 8 years old, but that does tell me how long I've been coming here. Still my hands down favorite is the fruit tart and I'm always happy when I get it for my birthday! Yesterday, however, I bought it for my boss. He loves coconut, but nothing impressed me in that department, so I decided to go with this. Who doesn't like a fruit tart anyways, especially one as delicious as Katella's!! A SPECIAL SHOUT OUT FOR Leticia Sanchez, who helped me with the fruit tart. When she called my number, I just knew this would be a great experience because before I even raised my hand, I could see her beautiful smile from afar. I didn't ask her name until the end, but I can tell you right now, she was the MOST pleasant and friendly bakery employee there! Everyone else seemed fine, but she was clearly OVER THE TOP. She seemed a little embarrassed, but happily wrote her last name on my receipt because she said there were two employees with the same first name. Thank you Leticia for such great service. I rate service right up there with the quality of the product and Katella Bakery should be proud to have you employed. I gladly gave her a tip and hope the management sees this review.
